Changing habits needs action. As always, effort is an important part of any change you want to bring into yourself. I've seen that changing habits is a little bit of work. Changing habits almost always means creating a hardcover personal development plan. But here are some quick list of things you can perform.
- Surround yourself with people who have changed habits.
- Try changing just one habit at a time.
- Have an alter habit. An alter habit is a new habit you want in place of old habit that you want to quit.
- Plan out how you want to change your habit. Write it in a diary.
- Find a thousand (or as many as you can) reasons to change that habit.
- Keep reminding yourself "how nice it would be if I change __________ habit?!"
- Make sure you list out your obstacles.
- Organize your current habit so you know what to keep and what to remove.
- Take help. If they have useless advice to give to you, quit them.
- Have a mantra (the zen habits way!)
- Appreciate yourself for the tiniest change that happens in you.
- When you feel low at energy, breath deeply.
- Make sure your alter habits are good enough to keep you from your old habits.
Don't cut yourself off the world outside. Keep friends close enough. Good friends will automatically make you do good things. This is one good way to change your habits. Make friends with people who follow your habits. Illustrated by Stephweiss.
